Reproducibility for All (Panel) : Building Towards an Open Science Community

Reproducibility for All (Panel) : Building Towards an Open Science Community In-Person

Features a dynamic panel of UVic faculty who will explore how reproducibility practices support Open Science, making scholarly knowledge openly available, accessible, and reusable for everyone.

This session will emphasize the importance of open practices (sharing data, methodologies, and findings) to foster greater scholarly collaboration and drive societal impact and change. Attendees will gain insights into practical strategies and real-world examples that showcase both the successes and challenges of implementing reproducible practices. These stories will illustrate how open science deepens knowledge sharing, enhances evaluation processes, and improves communication, ultimately engaging broader audiences and driving meaningful societal change.

Panelists: Nathan Lachowsky (Public Health and Social Policy), Paul Walde (Visual Arts), Janelle Jenstad (Humanities), and Heather Russell (Physics

Facilitator: Monique Grenier (UVic Libraries)
