Citation justice: Amplifying voices in our scholarship

Citation justice: Amplifying voices in our scholarship Online

This workshop is an introduction to the politics of citation. While you should always cite good science, art, literature, this workshop asks you to consider the need to dig a bit deeper to diversify your citations.  It explores challenges faced by historically marginalized groups and ways to uplift their voices.

Participants will:

  • Be able to explain the importance of citations
  • Reflect on systemic inequalities in the scholarly landscape
  • Identify strategies for more inclusive citation practices
