Scholarly Use of GenAI: Designing Effective Prompts In-Person

Are you looking for ways to optimize the effective and responsible use of ChatGPT and other Generative AI (GenAI) tools in your research or other projects?  The ability to design meaningful prompts for GenAI tools is one of the core competencies required to successfully use them, and this workshop is designed to introduce you to the basics of prompt design. By understanding how GenAI works and by exploring different prompting techniques, participants will gain foundational skills for writing effective prompts. By the end of the course, you will be comfortable using your prompting techniques to get the most out of GenAI across a variety of tools.
