Generative AI for Research Workshop – For Librarians & Library Staff Only In-Person / Online
This session is designed as a gentle introduction to Generative AI (GenAI) as well as to explore the emerging potential and pitfalls of GenAI tools designed for academic research.
This hands-on workshop is for all library staff no matter how familiar or they are with GenAI tools. The session will include an optional introductory prompt design activity, followed by more in-depth activities to explore the use of GenAI tools designed specifically to assist in the literature review process.
We hope to not only introduce you to some useful tools but also to solicit your expert insights on how each of the literature review GenAI tools perform within your specific areas of expertise. Your feedback will be invaluable in shaping how we present these tools in future workshops and will be shared back to all workshop participants and eventually to all library staff.
