Art, Storytelling, and Climate Justice with the Beehive Design Collective In-Person
A Beehive Collective member will give an interactive presentation featuring larger than life and intricately detailed art murals showcasing the struggle against coal mining. "The True Cost of Coal" graphic murals are a lens through which to understand the historical and contemporary story of energy and resource extraction. Teeming with intricate images of plants and animals from the most biodiverse temperate forest on the planet currently threatened by coal mining, the Bee will share (and seek) stories of how mountaintop removal coal mining affects the region's communities and ecosystems.
