Introduction to Data Visualization with Tableau Online
Note: This workshop is online via Zoom.
Are you a UVic student or staff member and are interested in design and data visualization? Are you looking to elevate your visual reports and presentations to the next level? If so, you should sign up for our hands-on workshop to learn about how you can incorporate Tableau’s data visualization software into your research and projects.
This workshop is designed to familiarize participants with Tableau software and provide an introduction to creating visualizations and dashboards. By the end of the workshop, participants will be comfortable importing data into Tableau and navigating the interface, and be able to develop different types of charts and visualizations.
To download and Install Tableau Public: https://public.tableau.com/en-us/s/download/ * (Note: If you are a staff member at UVic and are wanting to install software on a work computer, you may require system admin permission to do so.)
* Please note that downloading this application requires your email address be shared with Tableau servers located outside Canada. B.C. privacy legislation requires we inform you of this and obtain your consent to this arrangement. Participation in this workshop will be considered as your consent.
