Are you thinking of sharing your data for reuse? Have you been asked to deposit your data by a journal or funder? Are you interested in improving the long term accessibility of your data? Join UVic Librarians Monique Grenier and Shahira Khair for this workshop on finding a home for your research data, and learn how openly sharing your data benefits you and the global research community.

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will:

  • Appreciate that depositing your data is an integral component of the research lifecycle
  • Understand how to choose a digital data repository for research data, including:
    • Institutional data repositories
    • National data repositories
    • Discipline specific repositories
    • Other data repositories
  • Understand data deposit best practices
  • Deposit a sample dataset into UVic's institutional research data repository, UVic Dataverse Borealis
