Holocaust Remembrance: Trauma and Afterlight In-Person

Please join us on the eve of International Holocaust Remembrance Day to discuss two recent memoirs by Marsha Lederman and Isa Milman that braid together compelling stories of their parents’ generation who experienced the Holocaust in Europe with their own experiences navigating the inherited memory of the past in their present lives in Canada. 

The panel will be moderated by Lynne van Leuven, professor emerita in the Department of Writing at UVic.

Marsha Lederman, award-winning journalist and author of Kiss the Red Stairs: The Holocaust Once Removed (Penguin Random House, 2022).

Isa Milman, award-winning poet and author of Afterlight: In Search of Poetry, History, and Home (Heritage House, 2021)
