RStudio: Data Manipulation & Visualization Online
Note: This workshop is online only.
After the Introduction to R workshop, the Data manipulation and visualization workshop is the perfect next step! In this workshop, you will take the basic R skills from the first workshop and apply them to check, clean, and visualize your data. We will learn how to use additional packages and the general steps for a clean and organized data cleaning and validation script. Basic experience with R and R Studio necessary.
Once you’ve completed this session you’ll be able to:
- Execute the main steps of importing, checking, and cleaning your data
- Clean and manipulate data with the tidyverse and janitor packages
- Check and validate your data using the assertr package
- Create basic charts and plots (histogram, boxplot, scatter, bar and line plots) with the ggplot2 package
