Beyond the Ban In-Person

Join us for the first event in our Beyond the Ban series, focused on facilitating conversations about intellectual freedom in libraries to advance civil discourse and strengthen democratic engagement.

We'll be discussing What I Mean to Say: Remaking Conversation in our Time by Ian Williams. From the publisher's website: "Enough small talk. Let’s get right to it: Why can’t we talk to each other anymore? What makes good communication? And how do we restore the lost art of conversation?"

This event is free and open to the UVic community. Light refreshments will be provided.

Interested in winning 1 of 5 free copies of the book? Enter our contest. Terms and conditions are available on our website.
