RStudio Intermediate Data Analysis Online

Note: This workshop will be online only.

After the Introduction to Introduction to R and Data manipulation and visualization workshops, the Intermediate Data Analysis workshop is the perfect next step! In this workshop, we will learn how to use R Markdown files to generate reports as well as how to perform intermediate statistical analysis such as linear models. Finally, we will go over some more advanced coding skills such as for loops and custom functions. Previous experience with RStudio and knowledge of introductory statistics necessary. We recommend starting with our other RStudio workshops first if you haven’t programmed before and are not familiar with RStudio. Please note that this workshop does not cover statistical concepts in depth, and it is mostly focused on how to use R and RStudio to implement statistical analysis.

  • Generate reports in .pdf, .docx, .html formats with R Markdown
  • Use R to test for difference in means with t-tests and ANOVA
  • Use R to construct and assess linear regression models
  • Use if and for loops and create custom functions in R
